| Postdoctoral Positions
Available NIH-funded postdoctoral positions are available immediately in
the areas of structural biology, structural enzymology, and inhibitor design
in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences
Center in Denver, Colorado. The laboratory studies structural and mechanistic
aspects of gene regulatory systems in eukaryotes and bacterial pathogenesis
using biochemical and x-ray crystallographic methods. Two projects are currently
available: 1) analysis of structural and kinetic mechanisms of
gram negative quorum-sensing regulation
to design inhibitors of bacterial pathogenesis
2) structure and mechanism of ubiquitous chromosomal proteins.
Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. in Structural Biology, Biochemistry,
Chemistry, Pharmacology, or have investigated a closely related field for
their Ph.D. research project. Experience with basic biochemical or computational
methodology is required, and a publication record is expected. Interested
applicants are invited to send a Curriculum vitae and the names and contact
information of three references to: Dr. Mair E.A. Churchill Department
of Pharmacology P.O. Box 6508, MS 8303 Aurora, CO 80045. Email: mair.churchill@uchsc.edu
