Denver, Colorado, elevation 5280 feet. The high quality of life people enjoy here is attributed to spectacular scenery, recreational activities, moderate climate, and excellent arts and cultural facilities. The world-class health care and public school systems make our area a great place to live.

Students, professors, and visitors enjoy a wealth of activities including theater, shopping fine stores, and of course, outdoor recreation.

Colorado has 40 state and 3 national parks. Fourteen National Forests make up much of the western part of the state.

Rankings from Morgan Quinto's State Rankings 2001 include:

  • 2nd most livable state.
  • 2nd in number of households with computers.
  • 9th lowest level of industrial pollution.
  • 5th highest median household income.
  • 7th in spending on higher education (per capita).
  • 7th lowest in poverty rate.
  • 6th in sunny days.
